Sandy Lane
Cheltenham
The challenge was to create a space that expanded the ground floor accommodation but dealt with the difficult interface back to the house. The low eaves presented a typical problem, so often seen with single story and chalet type dwellings.
The new extension needed to feel part of the main house but still stand out as a definite piece of design in its own right.
The opportunity to address the corner site with a striking architectural solution is enjoyed by the family and connects the house to the beautiful garden.
